MAP 2026 ARCHIVE CONTACT

Urban Coincidence is a recurring poster campaign featuring photographs taken by members of the community that capture something unusual, out of place, serendipitous, or thought-provoking hidden within the everyday. Selected photos reflect local livelihood and something unique amid regular routine. They need not be formal or “professional” and can be taken on any type of device – phone, film, digital, or other. Each iteration of the campaign reveals new ways in which photography can amplify both the sensitivities and mundanity of daily life as well as disrupt the inundation of commercial advertisements by offering moments of reflection in their place.

View our 2026 campaign throughout Glasgow while it is live September 14th-27th using the map below, and see the full selection of artists and images on our 2026 page once it opens on this date.

Urban Coincidence is curated by Douglas Rogerson, Sophie Stewart, and Sophia Archontis. Over its iterations, the project has been suppored by Creative Scotland, GSA Independent Project Fund, BUILDHOLLYWOOD Scotland, and The Poster Associates (TPA).
